Learn About Ketamine Assisted EMDR

A Deeper Path to Healing
Ketamine Assisted EMDR (KA-EMDR) combines two evidence-based approaches—EMDR and low-dose ketamine—to address trauma and other mental health challenges with enhanced depth and healing. At the psycholytic dose, ketamine facilitates memory reconsolidation, allowing access to deeper emotions while maintaining the present-moment awareness essential for EMDR.

More About KA-EMDR
You may already understand your story; you may already know why you feel the way you do. You may even have previous experience with traditional EMDR. But because trauma and negative experiences are not only stored in our thoughts and narrative memories but also in our nervous systems, insight doesn’t always create change or a sense of healing.
Our licensed professional counselor, Lindsy Matteoni-Losiewski, is trained in KA-EMDR Therapy, a method developed and studied by Danielle Ciccone, LPCC, LMHC and Michele Topel, LPC. KA-EMDR offers a more supported way to process what still feels stuck.
When used therapeutically at a low dose, ketamine can help soften internal defenses and create a more open, flexible state–making it easier to approach difficult material without becoming overwhelmed. With the combination of EMDR and ketamine, we are better able to approach ourselves with the compassion, understanding, and emotional release that lasting change requires without the necessity of a prolonged or psychedelic experience.
KA-EMDR sessions with Lindsy last 90-120 minutes and are offered exclusively as a self-pay service due to insurance constraints on session duration and client privacy. Each KA-EMDR session is offered at the price of $360.
To learn more about KA-EMDR, Lindsy recommends listening to Danielle and Michele’s KA-EMDR Podcast and reading their research here: Ketamine Assisted EMDR Therapy™ for PTSD: investigating the synergistic effects of pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy.

Testimonial
During my KA-EMDR experience, I focused on a memory I had already spent time processing with traditional EMDR. The medicine allowed all of my defense mechanisms to step aside so that I could unlock and release several subconscious self-judgements I have carried to my relationships for decades all within the span of 90 minutes!
